Our trip started at the cruise terminal in Bayonne. Pulling up and seeing Liberty of the Seas waiting at the port immediately set the tone for vacation mode.
Even under cloudy skies, seeing the ship up close reminded us just how massive cruise ships really are.
Boarding moved fairly smoothly and before long we were stepping into the Royal Promenade.
One of the things we enjoy about Royal Caribbean ships is that they never feel small. Liberty of the Seas combines entertainment, dining, and enough activities to stay busy from morning until late at night.

We love them.
There is something relaxing about waking up with nowhere to rush and an entire floating resort around you.

- Discovering fun towel animal surprises in the cabin
- Watching shows in the theater
- Relaxing while the ocean stretched endlessly around us
One thing Royal Caribbean does extremely well is atmosphere.
At night the ship transforms into entertainment mode with lights, music, parades, and shows.
The energy in the promenade felt like a celebration every evening.

Then came the moment everyone waits for.
The water color changes before you even arrive.
Photos do not fully prepare you for how blue and clear it really is.
This island immediately feels different from many Caribbean destinations.
Bermuda has colorful buildings, British influences, calm island energy, and scenery that makes you stop and stare.
Since this was only a four day cruise, time became our biggest limitation.
We explored, relaxed, and enjoyed the island—but we never felt like we had enough time.
Our Bermuda Cruise gave us just enough time to experience the island, but it also left us wanting more.

If Bermuda had a postcard location, this would be it.
Horseshoe Bay gave us exactly what people talk about:
Turquoise water.
Bright sand.
Rock formations.
Picture-perfect views.
Walking onto the beach immediately made us understand why this is one of Bermuda’s most famous spots.
The water looked almost unreal.
Even though there were plenty of visitors, it still felt spacious enough to enjoy.
If Bermuda is your destination and you only have time for one beach, this is the one we would prioritize.
For many travelers, a Bermuda Cruise is all about finally seeing beaches like this in person.

Bring:
- Water shoes if you like exploring rocks

Would We Book This 4 Day Bermuda Cruise on Liberty of the Seas Again?
This is where our opinion changed a little.
We absolutely enjoyed this cruise.
The ship was fun.
The island was beautiful.
But…
If we did Bermuda again, we would seriously consider one of the itineraries that stay docked overnight.
Several Bermuda cruises allow ships to remain in port for extended periods.
Personally, we think having that extra island time would completely change the experience.
Bermuda feels less like a quick stop and more like a destination worth slowing down for.
That extra evening would allow:
- Dinner off the ship
- More beach time
- Exploring beyond the immediate port area
- Enjoying Bermuda after crowds thin out
For travelers who love experiencing destinations instead of checking boxes, overnight Bermuda itineraries may be worth considering.

The New York Harbor views were one of our favorite moments.

This trip reminded us why we love travel.
